Neris Valkure-2 PLUS EXP - Ref 116MJ

A popular folding kayak model in the non-stop annual Devizes-to-Westminster International Canoe Race due to its lightweight construction - an essential must-have to tackle the infamous energy sapping 77 portages on the 125 mile route. This kayak model has been winning top places in the Folding Boat Class for several years and even smashed the course record of 21:53:50 in the DW 2023 Edition, by 32 minutes.

NERIS (Ukraine) suspended production of all Valkure and Alu Series range of folding kayaks (and packrafts) at the start of the war, to minimise the large number of different production lines down to just the Neris SMART and Smart PRO Series of hybrid folding kayaks.

This particular light blue Valkure-2 PLUS was made several years ago but the kayak was only used once after which the partner shortly had sustained a serious back injury - the kayak has been sitting in storage ever since. So basically the kayak is in an immaculate condition.

The PLUS suffix means that this model has been fitted with bow-to-stern inflatable sponsons. Two different spray decks (Tandem & Single versions), 2 PVC seats, 2 waist skirts, 2 cockpit covers, a rudder set and 2 pack bags is included. The entire skin is made of marine grade PVC which makes drying very easy and quick, unlike most other branded folding kayaks which usually have canvas for the decks.

Spares are still available. The newer version more robust black TPU seats can be purchased. Additional keel frame cross braces can be retrofitted to create floor slats in front of each seat position.
