Feathercraft K-2 Expedition with BSD 32 Batwing Sport sail rig and BOSS Outrigger - Ref 113PT

This high-volume double kayak model is designed for maximum storage capacity, accommodating gear for a multi-week luxury camping trip. Bow and stern loading hatches make it easy to stow and access your gear. An upswept bow allows for a drier ride for the bow paddler. The wide beam and internal air sponsons provide stability, especially in rough conditions. Padded sling-style seats are adjustable — the ultimate in kayaking comfort.

This particular kayak comes included with a Balogh BSD 32 Batwing Sport sail rig and BSD BOSS outrigger. The Batwing sail rig has a zippy reef system with 2 reef points. The BOSS (Balogh Outrigger Stabilization System) uses inflatable floats or amas and comes with a single leeboard. The mounting system used to hold the mast and outrigger was specially designed and made by Balogh to fit on Feathercrafts. Mounting points to hold the supporting bipods of the outrigger  is permanently fixed to the kayak's decks - a key reason why the sail rig is not being sold separately to the kayak.

This kayak was purchased in 2001 and has only been used initially off-shore about 3 times, with the rest of the usage all being done on inland waters since then. A full assemble test last week (beginning May 2026) revealed no issues apart from the common aging delamination of the waterproof undercoating on the spray decks, hatch covers and sea sock material. The sail rig set was purchased in 2003.

A well looked after sailing kayak - in a very good condition all round. Includes original backpack bag, rudder set, sea sock (needs replacing or be recoated / resealed).
