Klepper Aerius II 520 'Klepper SYST Expedition Olive - Ref 086KL A rare opportunity to own an unique kayak! Produced during the early 1980's when Klepper was being produced under license by H. S. Walther GmbH. This mint green (painted over) SYST model is an adaptation of the NATO Mk13 military model as issued to military units around the world. This version still has the same heavy duty hypalon hull, paddle holders (no deck-lines) but with standard pair of sponsons (not Quattro) and plain varnished frame (some painted over). This kayak was based by UK's Special Forces in SE Asia, hence the lack of deck-lines etc possibly was to avoid snagging in the jungle type riverine locations. Frame and kayak skin are in very good condition. Seats are of the plastic moulded type mounted on a raised wooden base - made & supplied by Klepper. Includes spray deck, waist skirts, rudder, 3 bags, and 2 wooden paddles, all of which were painted in the same Camo colour scheme.
